Tracing Missing People

not come homeI’ve just had my copy of the Postcode News through the door and was attracted to a story on the front page where the Peoples Postcode Lottery has given a large donation to charities that support families with advice and practical coping tips.

As professional investigators Detective Denise gets a large amount of calls and emails from desperate families wanting to know if we can help. The sad thing is that in a lot of cases where someone has just disappeared without warning we can’t help, if someone really doesn’t want to be found they are probably going to go to extreme lengths to ensure they are not . Perhaps they believe their family will be better off without them, or there has been a relationship breakdown or problem, in our experience missing family members are a lot harder to find than missing debtors or even people you have just lost touch with.

Some people think they should wait a certain length of time before calling the police if someone goes missing, but if you have the feeling for example that someone is perhaps struggling with mental health issues just before they disappear, of course you should inform the police as soon as possible.
