North Yorkshire Police in the news again

With the news yesterday that a serving police officer at Newby Wiske is under investigation after a disc containing inappropriate (stated as something between adult pornography to documents that are sensitive to the force but didn’t involve children and it’s not Graham Maxwell) material was found in a laptop and is now in the hands of the IPCC (Independent Police Complaints Commission ), North Yorkshire Police Force must be hoping their run of bad luck has come to an end and they can lie low for a little while.

The priceless advertising they have created for local firm Simply Dutch and the case of the 4ft appendage in what was really them just following up a complaint by the member of the public must also be playing heavily on the minds of the force PR department too.

That added to the allegations against the Chief Constable and a viral video of a van load of officers driving into a flooded street,  it’s probably safe to say that North Yorkshire Police would like to stay out of the news for a little while before coming back with a good human interest story.
