Operation Rogue Trader has begin in North Yorkshire in a joint effort between North Yorkshire Police and Trading Standards to clamp down on a crime that often has as its’ victims those that are most vulnerable.
The advice as always is to never deal with doorstep traders, this is ultimately the only way these con men and con women will perhaps realise they are going to get nowhere, but if you do get someone knock on the door, call the local police on 0845 6060247 to report it. By reporting any suspicious incident you may prevent a neighbour becoming a victim.
